I am drawn to theatrical, grotesque, romantic subjects. The passion of a performer and the intensity of a live performance is captured with painterly strokes and highly saturated colors.

I like to emphasize the “flaws” in a portrait to portray a character’s personality. Eyes that usually align become crooked in my paintings.
