Shrouded is a series of scraped portraits which portray the emotional barriers between my children and I.As my children have grown older, I see them hiding their most intense emotions from me more and more.
In my eyes, my children wear protective “shrouds” which obscures their moments of distress from me. Sometimes the shrouds envelope their faces so much that all I can see is a sliver of what they are going through. Watch video on my process.
